About the department

The Oklahoma State University Police Department protects OSU 24 hours a day, 365 days a year with over 50 sworn officers and support staff.

Services

Patrol

OSU PD patrols Stillwater, Tulsa and CHS as well as agricultural research areas and Lake Carl Blackwell.

Investigations

The OSU Investigations division investigates all crimes that occur within OSU Police jurisdiction.

Motorist Assist

OSU offers on-campus motorist assistance, including jump-starts and lockout help.

SafeWalk

The SafeWalk program is comprised of trained student public service officers and escort anyone from one campus location to another from 9 p.m. to 2 a.m., seven days a week.

Lost and Found

The OSU Police Department maintains the lost and found area.

OSU Police offer safety-focused training programs to equip the campus community with the knowledge and skills to prevent, respond to and stay safe in critical situations.

Personal Asset Inventory

OSU implemented a personal asset inventory service for all campuses. The system provides a place for students, faculty and staff to record the make, model, serial number and a photograph (optional) of valuables.

The Clery Act, passed in 1990, is a federal law that directs universities to inform the public about crime on and around their campuses.

The OSU Police Department publishes a crime log combining both Clery and State of Oklahoma requirements.
