Work With Us!
Serve with purpose. Build a career with possibilities.
You do not need a four-year college degree to begin pursuing a career with OSUPD.
After hire, qualifying candidates complete the CLEET Basic Police Academy to earn Oklahoma police certification. Officers continue developing their skills through department training, practical experience and opportunities for specialized assignments.
Prior law enforcement experience is valuable, but OSUPD is also a place where the right candidate can begin building a long-term career.
More than campus
Your service protects our entire community
OSUPD works closely with the Stillwater Police Department, the Payne County Sheriff's Office and other law enforcement partners.
Through mutual-aid and shared-jurisdiction agreements, OSUPD officers may assist surrounding agencies when additional law enforcement resources are needed. When the unthinkable happens, officers go where they are needed and work alongside their counterparts to protect the broader community.
